How do you replace rear track runners? Is there an easy way to replace those what is the procedure. Thank you.

Slides I assume is what you mean?If yes and you have the stock track take out the front retaining bolt and pound them of right through the track window, a hammer and screw driver works good for this and tip the sled up on each side that your working on, this makes it much easier.Loosen track up this helps alot.Loosen up the axle bolts and you get to the track tensioners through the track windows as well.Lube up the new slide a little if you want and pound it on, re tension and align track and your done.

if you have an air chisel and you stick it the hole where the front screw goes it and angle it towards the back it comes off easy. be careful not to strip the front screw because you will never get it out. sometimes they have a tendency to seize up after a while. if the screw is stuck, get a driver that you hammer on the end of it and the screw will loosen up without striping. to put the old slides on, put some grease or silicone spray on them, and just tap them in with a rubber hammer so you don't damage them
I think I might have explained it a bit wrong, I am looking to replace the blue plastic strips (Highfax) that are inbetween the track and the aluminum "frame" of the rear suspension. Please let me know if your directions correspond to this procedure. Also is there a trick to check/set the correct track tension without using a special "weight tool" that the manual calles for. Thank you.

yes thats what he's talking about, also loosen your track all the way up it'll help allot with pulling them out..Yuriy said:I think I might have explained it a bit wrong, I am looking to replace the blue plastic strips (Highfax) that are inbetween the track and the aluminum "frame" of the rear suspension.

No, there is no easy way. It sucks! I do it when the suspension is out.
Any suggestions on track tension, I've got the data from the manual but I don't have the special tool that provides a certain pull weight on the track for the measurement.

If you don't have a scale to use loosen the track up till it just starts to ratchet( track slips when you give it allot of gas)then tight'en it up a few turns at a time till it slips no more, this works good also.Yuriy said:Any suggestions on track tension, I've got the data from the manual but I don't have the special tool that provides a certain pull weight on the track for the measurement.

I have found that, after removing the front screw, you can peel the (hyfax it is called) with a large channel lock pliers. who cares what you do to this old hyfax. it will walk right down
then, when putitng the new ones on. pour some soap with a littel water into the "C" channel of the new hyfax. wipe it the full lengh with your finger, this makes it slide on much easier. slide from the back through the track window ( need to move the track to line up)
tap with a wood block and hammer till the hole lines up with the front rail hole
oops, measure the old one and cut the new one to length first.
hope that helps
