I wedge a piece of wood against the cover remove bolts, ussually drop one and swear a bit. then the whieghts come out easy just carefull not to loose the plastic washers.
Buy a clutch compress tool. Outside in the cold or in with the heat. If all you are doing is changing weights this is the easiest. No removal of clutch or face-plate. Compress the clutch, lock it in place and change the weights. A drift-pin set makes it even easier. When changing weights......I highly recommend changing pivot bolts every two or three times............the lock nuts wear out. Also watch out for the ever elusive plastic shims. If you happen to loose one and can't seem to find it..... a good shot of air from your compresser will make it show up.

I use the tool as snomo stated. It's a must with heelclickers. You get pretty quick with it after awhile.

Your #1 performance shop!
I have a tool available that has a plastic spacer and a needle bearing. You remove the primary clutch bolt and install this (it threads into the threads that a clutch puller uses to remove the primary) and closes the sheaves so you can remove the weights and have free access to the rollers.

They aren't spendy. The one I use is about 1.5ft long and you put that in the clutch to compress. You then use a bracket to hold the clutches together and remove the tool. You can then change weights etc. This is nice because it doesn't require any additional tools. I can't remember off hand where I got it. I'm sure someone else will chime in. The process takes less than 5 seconds.

That's the same one I use. I attached a screenshot. Looks like it is 29.99.
