I was looking at changing to 8 tooth drivers to accomodate 1.25 track and studs but the gearing chart on this site doesnt show a combination to correct overall gear ration for this application. Any help?

hmm..i see on that list that there are short and long primary springs available....
I have a 98...does that mean I need to get a short spring or will my clutch be the same as a 2000+ clutch? (and a long spring will also work?)

Thanks!

Thanks MTNMAX600, according to fac specs I should have 23/38 gears which gives me a 1.65 ratio using the stock 9 tooth drivers. I cant find a combination in the 8 tooth chart that gives me the same end ratio of 1.65. Am I not looking at this correctly?

gonna be hard to get sprockets that small to get you back to stock ratio as with 9 tooth drivers, but using 8 tooth drivers and a 24/37 will be 1.74 with a 70link chain, I have seen 25 tooth top sprockets, but you may need a 72 pin chain, gonna have to use a aftermarket hyvo chain then.

I run the 24/35 from Hi Performance engineering. Should be as close to stock as you can get.
