srv cylinders on ss cases


I CAN REMEMBER YEARS AGO A GUY USED TO GRASS RACE A 1981 SS 440 RIGHT UP THROUGH THE LIQUID CLASS. WELL FOLKLORE HAD IT BEING A 540 OUT OF A SRV. SLED FLEW. GUY CLEAN UP. I THINK THE ANSWER MIGHT BE YES. BUT YOU WOULD NEED TO CHECK AFEW THINGS. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
stroke is the same between the two engines. pin size is 18mm on the 440 vs 20mm on the 540. possibly there is a bearing that will make up the difference. havent checked if the bolt pattern is the same.
