I´m changing to 8T drivers, will my stock 38 bottom gear and 70L chain work with a 25 top gear?

providing the 25 tooth is the same tye of gear as the chain and 38 tooth. hyvo or non hyvo. they all have to be the same.

Ok thank you very much, I was thinking maybe the chain will be to short. And yes it´s a hyvo (2001 srx) now I can order the parts.
I have a 24/40 70L on my srx so the 25/38 will fit just fine with the 70L chain
