I am trying to get a good clutching set up for my dads 600 v max, He had a local yammy dealer to him set it up and it a real dog out of the hole and a slug at low speeds. I looking for a couple of set ups to checkout and compare what he's got. Thanks in advance. Tracy

This is what i was told on my 96 xt w/ the gyt twins, haven't tweaked or checked mine to see what i'm running.
8BU's no rivets,Bender orange spring,4mm in shims,49/41 helix,Bender Viper secondary spring at 40' twist....For trail I would say 8CA's and 45/41 helix..

I had a '96 600XT that had jet hot coated GYT twins, but I can't for the life of me remember or find my notes for what the set up was like.... Thanks for the info, I'll have to check his sled. Do you know the specs on the bender orange spring?

Unfortunetly i don't know much on those specs as i have not put them in to use yet. I may do it next summer spent too much this year so far.
I think that his sled has 8ca weights I'm just looking to find the "proper" primary spring as his sled seems to engage low but that may mean that the spring is sacked.. I would thin that it should engage around 4000-4200. just guessing.
