Carb heaters ?

Im wondering if I can run my Viper without the lines from the carb heater hooked up . If the knob is turned to off, by rights no coolant should leak from the head . right ? im itching to run it and Im missing the plug on the head that the hose hooks to .
Anyone know if this will work , just for a temporary until the pipe show at the local ripoff I mean dealer ?

I pretty sure you'll still loose coolant from the return line (other end of the carb rack). Pull it off too, put bolt in it and tighten down the clamp.

So if i plug the hose that goes to the head it will do the same thing but still allow coolant to run into the carb , or at least stay in them ?
right ?
