I've bought my wife a pair of HJC Type R and Coldwave don't remember the model and have not been pleased at all with the quality. I've searched everywhere for leather but they don't make them anymore for women or they're just impossible to find. I'm thinking about getting her a pair of Arctiva Snow Angles for Christmas and wondered if anyone has any experience with this make and model or has any other suggestions.
Thanks for your help.

Really? All I use is Coldwave. Granted, I haven't bought anything from them in a few years now seeing how my current clothing still rocks. Sorry to hear about the Coldwave stuff, man.
Goodluck with your search.

Funny. I've never had any problem finding leather ladies wear.

Try some FXR I find their gear excellent. (and before Bischof pipes in I don't wear the womens stuff lol)
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Check your hyfax ...
I personally haven't had arctiva, but a guy we use to ride with swore by them! Otherwise I would go with Klim ... pricey, but excellent stuff! If you go with gortex you should be good to go!
I too have been pleased with my coldwave (purchased years ago), pants not bibs ... I could sit in a snow bank all day and never have a wet butt!
I am curious about the FXR stuff ... I had a few coats years ago (both my husband and I) and the waterproof, or lack their of, was terrible! We would be soaked after a few hours of off trail riding! I hear peole are happy with the stuff now ... I wonder if they make a better quality now?
