98 SRX 700 how to test DC regulator

How do you test DC regulator? Does DC regulator play any role in power valves circuit?

I'm also most certain the powervalves are controlled by servo drive motors which would require DC. But I don't have an srx. Do you have the wiring diagram? What year is it?

I do have the wiring diagramm but it's in block form (doesn't show actual componens fo the regulator just shows input wires and output wires). The sled is 1998 Yamaha SRX 700.
