I have a 2004 Venture 600.
8ab's with 2.4 inner/ outer empty
Y-G-Y primary spring
50/42 helix
Green secondary wrapped @ 70
Geared 20/39
1-1/4" ripsaw
I'm 230lbs
Engagement is around 4500
Holeshot rpm 8900-9100 then slowly drops to about 8600 in about 300 feet (all the room I had). Down low she feels a little sluggy, like in the first 60-80 feet, then seems to pull harder. Rolling down the trail at 30 kmh and nail it seems pretty good. Clutch temps are good. Haven't had a chance to really open it up.
Question: Should I step up the inner rivet to a 3.1 gram or try a 0.8 in the tip?
Oh on another note I have the fuel screw out 2-1/4 turns and still have that buuuuWAAAA bog off the line and she smells really rich at idle. Jetting is stock. Should I keep going out on the screws?
