I just got an 87 phazer and want to get it as best as I can on a cheap budget. The main thing I want to try to do, if possible, is get a little more traction out of the sled as the track spins and fishtails very easily. I was reading the phazer manual in the tech section here and saw that the suspension can be set up in different ways.

Has anybody adjusted the suspension with good results, or should I just leave it as is? I just bought the two OEM rear shocks that I am going to be putting in.

Anybody have any guidance? I would love to stud the track but I cant find any studs that would be short enough. Anybody know of some?

Not alot of adjustment in an '87 Phaser suspension. You can lenghten out the limiter strap to give more transfer, but you will likly loose ski pressure. Other than that you can turn the spring load adjusters for 1,2 or 3. Maybe the suspension springs are sagged out and the track is shot.
