I am thinking about studding my 87 Exciter, would anyone know the part numbers for tunnel protectors and heat exchanger protectors. Thanks for any help you can give me.

you can use generic tunnel protectors
as far as heat exchanger guards, look at Hauck, i think they make some.
now depending on your track, you may have a tough time finding short studs for the stock track, at least push through ones.
going with t nuts will be less $$ and easier to find for the stock track.

Thanks for the info. The track is not the stock one, I changed it to a Ski-Doo track with an .075 lug so I was thinking 1" push thru studs would work. I'll try calling Hauck. As far as generic tunnel protectors, would you know what thickness I would need, and are they metal or plastic? Thanks again for your help.

the plastic generic ones I got for my venture are like an inch or so tall.
