Hey all, i just started up my 2002 SXR 600 for this season and it has been sitting all summer. It started kind of hard but it will run. The problem is that after a little while without the choke it simply bogs down and dies if i don't re choke it. I put in 5 gallons or so of premium gas but so far I haven't noticed much of a difference. What do you think? Carbs need to be cleaned, or give that new gas a chance to work? Any help is appreciated!

thanks so much guys, my first time doing it and i feel confident doing it from now on. the steps were real easy to follow!

Just make you you send Mrviper a check in the mail for $90 LOL All the free information is 50% off what the dealer would have chraged you to do the labor LOL

Glad to hear everything worked out for you.

wow Don's even got other's collecting for him now. He's going to be building a new race shop soon! haha!

haha, now i just gotta get some cheap mods done to this baby, ripped up my friends ZL600 EFI yesterday :)

one cheap mod is pealing the head gasket. Remove the middle layer and put the other two layers back in using a gasket spray. Then add reed spacers or do the notch as in the tech page. Then you can do a little clutching and all this will have cost you about $150.00. You will notice a big difference with these little mods.
