Is there any truth to the rumor that if you go down a size in main jets on the Viper it will actually decrease your top speed? If this is the case why, everything I've ever read is leaner=faster.

Hmmm...more Viper DRAMA!
If anything, I'll add some to the fire! At speed, the airbox is under pressure, so a leaner jetting that's good at trail speeds and on/off throttle situations, might be too lean on the lake at WFO. I'd jet for WFO, and leave it for all other conditions. Good luck!
