I had posted earlier how my newly acquired srx will spin to 9k with a new belt. I took off the clutch cover and see there is some belt residue on primary sheaves towards the top. Is this slipping and allowing the over rev to occur or how do I rememdy this. Clutching is bone stock with no other mods done. Please advise on what I should due to fix this. thanks, Blake

Every sled will develop belt dust over time since the clutches are not that efficient and slippage does occur and things wear out. As for solving your over-rev issue, the simple answer is that you need to add weight to your flyweights by installing bigger rivets. The flyweights you have in the clutches now if they are stock as you said are 8DN-20's. Drill out the smaller rivet from each flyweight and install a yamaha 4.5g (17.2mm) rivet in each hole. Get a W-W-W primary spring, and a helix from an apex/rx1, which is a multi-angle 51/43. You can probably find one used in the classifieds section. Run the red secondary spring at about 70-80* wrap and you will be very close. Make sure to run a new belt after making the changes. Clean the belt good with hot soapy water and a scotch brite pad before installing to remove the mold from manufacturing. Anymore questions let me know.

The bottom(heel)rivet on the weight should be a 4.5(stock), so just add one to the tip, but if unsure do bolth..

There should be no uncertainty in doing this. One rivet is very obviously smaller than the other if it is the factory setup.
