I've hook up a heated shield wire just as I did with my srx, power to blue wire under the pad, black to steering post ground. Problem is, I'm not getting much voltage, .2 at idle and up to maybe 1 volt revving it up. Similar readings at everything under the pad. The hand warmers were a bit more, 2-3 volts.Crazy thing is, everything else is working good. Checked my meter, checked the srx, that was reading 12+. I'm stumped.

The easiest thing to check and fix would be your ground. Use an ohm meter to check that you have a good path to all the way back to engine ground. Resistance equals voltage drop.

Do you have your meter on DC? You could be on an AC circuit on the sled if its a single headlight.
