Can anyone give me some ideas on what to check on my SX700? It backfires when its warm when I start it. It only backfires once as soon as I pull the starter rope. It also only does it in warmer weather.
Thanks in advance

My '02 SX600R does the same thing, unless I let it idle for a few seconds before I shut it off.

mine does it too, did it last night at the gas station and im pretty sure everyone getting gas sh*t themselves hahaha. i let mine idle down for a few seconds or choke it so it idles down and then shut it off.

Too high of idle speed and or pilots are out of adjustment. Lean usually backfires when cold.
check your timing if carbs are clean. advanced timing can cause a backfire.
