srx start up.........

full choke till it starts and starts to load up ,then play with choke between none and half until it idles good ,then leave it alone for 5-10 min's,don't touch the throttle until it is warmed up.

The WORST thing you can do to a yamaha is touch the throttle before it is good and warm. You are almost guaranteed to foul a plug, yet every year you see people bitching about their yamaha that keeps fouling plugs when they start it, but they are the same ones on the throttle before they even let the recoil rope go. So basically do exactly as stated above and you will have no problems.

Exactly. Once it idles w/out the choke, go in and get dressed.

I am one of those knuckleheads that doesn`t let my srx sit very long and warm up...lol. As soon as it runs for a minute i pull it out of the garage to warm up. But to be honest i have never fouled a plug in the thing except in the summer. Guess i have just been lucky

The strangest thing about mine is that I had no problem with foulling plugs until about the 4th year! I put my sled up for sale halfway through the winter and it was like flipping on a switch, foulled plugs left and right!!!
My Viper is showing some signs of this , this year! :o| But I havent run a fresh tank of gas through it yet, so Im crossing my fingers.
