yes but...
I know this is a little out of season for most of us but it looks like Yamaha has been burning the midnight oil for us dry track folk. Check out the Sakura!

myself, I am more of a FZ1/ R1 guy, althogh I would take an M1 if they actually made it for the street
Yami needs to make a real sporting twin sportbike again. 1000cc's or more, and no the MT01 no matter what they do to it, does not count.
the R1 does fit me pretty well though.

My Yamaha summer toy. 05 R1, lowered 2.5 inches, stretched 6 inches, painted custom pearl white, brocks sidewinder ehaust, basic bolt ons, dynojet quick shifter. Ran a best of 9.4@145 this year, now its nitrous time
Cant make up my mind, do i want it to be winter or summer ???

I am more into the twisties and road race track day thing. The straightline stuff doesn't excite me too much. Dragging knee around a corner, and killing the edges of the front and rear tires is where the fun is for me.
I do have to say that is the first 04+ R1 I have seen without the underseat pipes.

You can do it all on an FZ1. Nice choice in bikes!
My TL1000s is a lot the same as far as all around ability. I put Heli Bars on mine to make the clip ons a lot more daily rider friendly.
A corbin seat also made a HUGE difference. Most sportbikes have horrible seats stock.
