Can someone please tell me the way to adjust the powervalves on my srx using the allen wrench as a spacer in the valve method?
Thanks

damen, to set the servo do I get the idle below 1000 get the servo wheel to rotate and than shut the motor off? Second what size allen do I use? Third how much slack in the cables at the servo is acceptable?

^yes, below 900,then mark it so if it moves you can move it back.

2.5mm

what do ya mean before or after you start?

below 900, just watch the servo motor rotate and then mark the wheel and backing plate with a felt marker. Dot over Dot kinda.

What I am saying is if I hit the choke and it rotates if I hit the kill switch with it stay rotated? How much slack after.

Oh don't worry about that you need to loosen them some anyway when
starting..

i'm thinking of making a little tool up tomorrow at work, think im gonna cut 2 pieces off a 2.5 mm allen wrench, then weld them to some sort of plate that will sit on top of the valve assembly to get the correct gap. The last time i did it I found it a little difficult to screw the adjustment in while holding the allen wrenches lol, so i had my brother help. Gonna try though and rig something up, maybe make it a little easier

How much slac should be in them when done?
None, should be nice and snug, you can't tight'en them to tight or you'll pull the servo outa line, you tight'en the cables just so there is very slight drag on the A/W's.

I think your thinking of the slack being at the servo. It's actually at the other end, at the power valves. That's what the 2.5mm allen wrenches are for. You back off the four allen bolts at the valve just enough so that the two 2.5mm allen wrenches just fit into the gap. Then you adjust at the servo until the cables are just "snug". Then you remove the two 2.5mm allen wrenches and tighten the four allen bolts back up. The gap created by having the 2.5mm allen wrenches in there is what sets your proper slack. The servo end should still be snug.

Your correct modit all but where the A/W's go, they go in the first pv housing with the two bolts not the housing with the 4 bolts.

just clearing that up for the readers. :)

Lol, nice catch...don't know why I said FOUR (tells you something about my memory!).

I mainly posted because I was getting the impression he was thinking the play was suppose to be at the servo.
