Turk i hear so much good about your clutching advice. i have a 2001 sxr 700. i weigh about 240 with my gear on. i have a very low budget. i want to get from point a to b in a very short timeand still have top end. what can i do for clutching and should i try gearing , if so what combo or sprocket should i change. thanks

So you want better acceleration or top end? Can,t have both.pick one. You will need a new chain to gear down.
Change inner rivet in your weights from a 3.6 gram to a 4.5 gram rivet. Buy a used rx-1 helix & bolt it in. If you did a search you would have seen i have been asked this question & posted this set up about 1,389 times!!!!!

If I was you Turk I would remove that TY Tech Advisor LOGO firstly.Set up a 1-800 line and charge for each set up that you give out.You would be surprized how fast that would pay for a new Turbo on your new sled.Did you pu an 08 yet or what?

There is no such thing as a straight 47 rx-1 helix. RX-1/apex/attak/warrior helix is a 51/43

turk i can not find where to get rivits but only one place and that is world of powersports and they list them like this (ST10.3MM) (ST11.3MM) nothing like 3.6 or 4.5 gram like you told me to get. sorry to bother you i am just new to the snowmobile thing. where can i get the rivits. thanks turk

I will help you on this one,Turk is taking a nap. READY:
17.2mm =4.5gram
13.9mm =3.6 gram
13.3mm = 3.1 gram
11.3 mm =2.7 gram
10.3 mm =2.44 gram

All above are steel

This is aluminum:
10.3 mm= .85 gram

Now you can go ahead and order your rivets via the above info:
You can print all this stuff and other things of ther tech pages.
