im running amsoil in both my sleds for breakin.....getting sick of cleaning pv's every couple hundred kms.....
With the new rings they sell now, it doesn't matter...run what ya got...you'll be fine...heat is your biggest enemy, amsoil will help in that department...cheersSkidooslayer687 said:I Know this has been brought up a zillion times on here... lol and i've been reading posts all night.... but

all i know is to listen to the guys that do this for a living. LIke mr viper, he told me to run dinosoar oil for break in. I takes 1 min to syphon out the old oil.
I just ran 2 littres of castrol super snow oil.

the way i understand the posts i've read on this topic... the rings will seat with both types of oil, however synthetic takes a while longer to get them to seat... this is from what i understand of it anyways.

I have been running mine with Yamalube since the new rings. I am going to run it a while longer like that before I swap over to Amsoil Interceptor. I did a search on the subject. Everyone has their own view on it. Could read searched documents on the subject for days. I followed MrViper700 recommendations.

I thought you use Amsoil Interceptor for break in's on yours?ExpertXViper said:That means no Yamalube right Daman???
yamasluge will work, it's a syn. blend and i bet there's less then 1% Grp III syn base stock in that stuff, they never say how much of each is in there.
a blend does not mean 50/50 could be 99/1, thats all thats neede to be called a blend/semi-synthetic.
