Time to start up my bike and finally be able to rev beyond 11000 rpms. 10500 on the rx-1 is a little conservative I think. My Kawasaki ZX9R will rev till 12500 and still pull hard..... oooops I do not ride a Yamaha Superbike........... Well bikes are fun anyhow..
Have a nice summer and ride safely.
Keep it at the redline

Keep her below redline. This info is according to Motor Cyclist magazine My (stock) mighty R1 puts out 136.8 RWHP @ 10,750 RPM's and a stock 2002 ZX-9R 125 RWHP @ 10,250 rpms. There dyno results show Hp drop off from there. So keep the R'ssssss as close to this as possible for the hardest pull. But by the time you are in second gear at over 10 grand you are already over 100 plus MPH anyway!!! It's all relative (relative to fun) Have a safe summer and remeber the fun is in the curves!!!
