Been reading this site for over 1 hour and it is fantastic!
Looking at getting a '98 SRX and would like to know if there is anything I should be on the lookout for.
I've read something about the "W skid?" (I think) cracking? Can anyone explain and post actual photos of this? (of the part I need to look at closely)
I am aware of the crank problems/recall. Will EVERY early SRX need have problems with the crank? What are the symptoms?
What are the potential problem areas of this sled that I need to look for when doing a pre-purchase inspection?
As you can probably tell, I am new to the SRX. What rpms should I expect the clutch to engage at? What rpms should it cruise at, say 30mph, 60, etc?
Anything else I need to know about these before buying?
Thanks guys for all the help!

Have your Dealer check the VIN # to see if the recall was done. 99% of them were corrected from what I hear.
People that crack W-arms are the ones that beat the hell out of their sled or tighen up the limiter straps too much without taking spring pressure off the shock and puts excesiive pressure on the W-arm
