Well, I need to change the track on my 02 viper tonight. Putting on a ripsaw 1.25 track (blew the stock Yokahama). What do I all need to take off/apart to change this track? I know I have to take the tunnel and heat exchanger protectors off, so the tracks lugs will clear....but in order to drill the rivets out I need to get the seat off and tank off. How does the tank come off? Anything I have to watch out for? If there's anything else that I forgot to mention that you smart guys can think of please let me know.

You don't even need to take the tank off, just cut the rivets with side cutters or a dremel. Take the protector off and cut again or grind flush. Obviously you need to take the chain case apart, but it does not have to be removed (contrary to most instructions found on this site). You’ll also need to loosen the two set screw on the bearing collar (clutch side). Once the screws are out you should be able to get that bearing off. Then hammer the drive shaft towards the chain side to pop out the lower bearing. Once that is out you can tilt the drive shaft enough to get it out. Enjoy, those two lower bearing can be a real PITA!
