I have an 02 viper that I have long tracked to a 144" mountain sled. The front KYB's were re-built at the beginning of this season but with the progressive rate spring are way to soft for my liking. Is there other spring or shock options for these sleds? Does anyone know what springs the mountain vipers came with? Thanks for the help.

KYB shocks that are rebuildable. I just bought my 2004 MNT Viper in Septeber and I may try a set of Ohlins. I replaced the far rear factory shock with an Ohlin.

I heard lots of guys like the factory MNT Viper front shocks and lots of guys put them on their MM's

I don't think the MTN Viper shocks/springs will work on the regular Viper - they are shorter. I went with Works shocks - they are a dual spring but they do work good - suck up the small bumps without much feedback but also take the big hits. (I do have a stock 05 MTN Viper spring at home - could check the free length if you want.)

Yes ,the free lenght is different between the two. Don't know about stock spring rates however.
Viper = 17 inches
Viper Mtn = 15 3/8 inches
These are "close" measurements as I'm sure they are actually metric.

Thank You, I am just looking for different spring options on my 02. I had Anchorage Yamaha revalve and rebuild and set the spring pre-load to max and they are still very soft for my liking. I would like some stiffer springs maybe dual or single rate instead of triple rate, any suggestions. Thank You

The actual spring measures 10" it is also progessive (3 top coils are closer together anyway) - from the specs it has a rate of 2.3 to 2.9 kgf/mm - spec travel is 6.1 inch (170mm)
