I haven't had time to buy a service manual yet. Anyone know what the motor mount bolts should be torqued to. The front pto side bracket came loose, sheared the bolt off in the block. Could locktite be used?

torque the bolts to 24 ft lbs and yes to the locktite [blue].

Thanks for the input!
SRX motor mount
Get an SRX motor mount to put in this location. Get it from Rich Motorsports....they are cheap. It uses three bolts to hold it to the case instead of two and you will never have this problem again. Why Yamaha ever redesigned that motor mount is beyond me.

They use the 2 bolts because the electric starter bolts in the third, if you don't have electric start always use the srx mount, if you have ES you can modify the starter.
