I plan on long traveling my 99 srx this weekend, I got the shocks (thanks so much to RxMax for them and all the info!!) and should be getting the straps and shims from the dealer tommorrow. The question is how do I initially set the straps as far as which hole and how much thread exposed and what settings on the shocks? I weigh 210 and mostly ditch bang. Also a Thanks to Betheviper for the trailing arm! 
The viper straps I got for my 98 srx long travel mod had only one hole. I weigh in the same as you and have 1 inch of thread showing to start, tons of steering, almost to much. I will back off a 1/2 inch on the nuts for this next ride and try it.
