viper burning oil

Everytime i ride i have to fill the oil tank up agian. It goes through almost a full tank of oil in a short ride and is blowing smoke like crazy...the orange oil light is on too....any ideas?

oil cable stuck maybe check the freeplay in the cable. Daman probably knows what its exactly supposed to be.

Check your oil cable. If your cable is working properly, you have a bad oil pump which has gone into default mode pumping oil to the motor wide open.

Just buy a new oil pump.

Like the other guy's said check oil pump cable for seat, have not hear of vipe oil pumps going bad like the older vm's did, but could.

check free play here and here, set to 20-21mm.
