I have a 99 SRX700 and was told by couple people that there are some fixes out there that tell you to shim the rear or front of the spindle to ski connection to tip the ski forward or backward according to what it is doing. I just came in from riding and would like to fix some issues I have with my steering.
when turning it doesn't seem to grab, you really have to put pressure on outside bar end and lean in obviously. then while turning I seem to get a lot of spray up the hood and into the face like the tips are diving but not sure. skeggs are prob 50% yet think I went with 6" shapers bars and have 96 studs, skis lift maybe 5" at most when hammering it. Setup feels good just sucks when turning. I would love some advice to getting this thing to corner like on rails. Am I asking to much for an older gen. sled??![Letitsnow :letitsnow :letitsnow](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/letitsnow.gif)

Here you go..
Go to www.bergstromskegs.com
Give Scott Bergstrom a call and tell him your story. He is the one that sells the ski saver and shim kit for your spindle. $16 what he will charge you for that kit will make a world of difference. Scott is a great guy to deal with and will help you.
When installing, if more of the weight is towards the rear of ski, out the shim at the bottom front of the boot on the spindle. It will be oposite if the most of your weight is in the front. Comes with easy to follow instructions

I second the Bergstrom advice.
