i pulled my dipstick out tonight and there was alot of metal shaving on it...is this caused by having to loose of chain..and all i need to do is tighten the chain.....because in powder i sometimes get a clunking noise....thanks for the help guys :2strokes: :winterrul :yam: :rocks:

pull the cover off and inspect some metal is normal but you should not have a noise under accel it is very easy to inpect 4 bolts and the cver comes off if the chain has been jumping replace it i had one due this and i adjusted it the next day it broke and came out and ruined the chain case

Crap on the magnet is normal, as "ted" said I would go ahead and inspect the chain if you havnt done so already. The chaincase is the most abused part of the sled in alot of cases, I have had people admit that they had no idea they where supposed to change the fluid, let alone maintain correct chain tension!.

USUALLY that clunking you are hearing in the powder is simply your track jumpin the drivers, so I would check track tension also.

Like said above it's normal, that's why it's importaint to change out oil every
year or two..

use a full synthitic oil too 75w90,Amsoil,Mobil-1,etc...

If the oil has not been changed out and the case, gears, chain hasn't
been cleand in a few years you will have allot of thick build up on
the magnet...dosen't mean there is a problem tho, just build up from
not cleaning/changing oil.
