Are plug wires replacable on an 04 600 tripple?

NGK makes a kit that you can splice in new wires. Or cross your fingers like me and yank the wire from the coil and glue the new ngk in. Look at my avatar and you'll see them.

I ain't splicin nuttin, not my style. I have one wire that is chaffed on the carb heater hose. I think I'll try to replace it. Well if I do it I'll do all three. So they can be replced but it looks like a PITA. I guess Yamaha wants to sell you the coil assy. what kind of glue? Super glue, 2 part epoxy?

I know it sounds bad splicing. But I think its actually better in hindsight then what I did.

I wrapped electrical tape around the wire until the diameter was close to the same size as the coil and then used GOOP.

Looks like a comp. coil wire and boot is $38..
