I have in my backyard (gathering dust and rat nests) a 1989 Ovation 340
My kid is getting old enough to ride sleds thus the interest in fixing up this killer ride.....
would it be hard/feasabe to install a skid from a Phazer II and run the 121 x 15 .75 lug track?? I do beleive it is a 2.52 pitch, no idea what the Ovation is??
the track is shot and difficult to find for the Ovation

The Ovation is a 3.25 pitch track so you would also have the switch the drivers. The Ovation has 5" drive wheels and I think the Phazer has 6' wheels. If you don't use a real tall lugged track you shouldn't have any clearance issues. If you use the skid mount measurments (center of axle back and top of tunnel down) from the Phazer for the new holes (renforce where nessessary) and Phazer drivers it should work. You will probably have to do something with the tail to keep the snow flap out of the track. It would be a lot of messing around and you might be better off finding the right track. You need a 15X107.5 with 3.25 pitch. 80 and up Enticers, Exel III's and Ovations all used it.

Search the site; I think about a year ago a guy was talking about long-tracking an Ovation-might be some help if you can find the article, assuming it exists and I am not just remembering incorrectly.
