My 01 SXR has about 700 miles maximum on a new set of hyfax from last year with a new IceClaw track. And to the best of my knowledge, the track was adjusted correctly at my local sled shop. All riding was done in good snow conditions and these hyfax look like they should be changed again.
Is there a high quality hyfax that will last longer or is this what you guys see for mileage between changes? I've heard about graphite but I'm unsure if it will be much better.
What do you guys think?

your track is probly to tight still, loosen it up little more, could also pull
up your front limiter straps, i get a few thou. outa a OEM set easily.

Is the wear up front at the bend of the rail?
If so, get 4 "5.38" wheels and replace the stock "5.125" wheels

Thanks for the info guys!
The wear is at the front and near the rear as well. When I looked at the track yesterday it was way loose. To the point that when jacked up the track hung down about 3/4" without any weight being applied. I'm assuming this is because the track was new last year and it had some stretch. I tightened it up a bit but not to the point it was at last year after the new track install.
I might need to try the larger wheels because I sure seem to go through these hyfax on a regular basis. Do the OEM ones last the longest?

They are all the same. just a larger wheel you nned. same material. You can get them from richierich. They all use the same bearing.
If you had some wear in the back, you can rplace the 2 wheels on that shaft mounted between the rails just in front of the BIG rear wheels. You will need a press and some external snap ring pullers

had the same problem the book said to adjus to 1 1/8 at 20# of pull at center. WAY to tight loosen till it ratchets then start adjusting till is stops on hard take off you wont need to replace bogeys. I got this info off TY 2 years ago and it was true to the bone still on same oem replacements 1200mi on them

they are spendy but go look up some "hyperfax" it has teflon in it but it will never wear out.... it run's cooler than just "hyfax" .... check your dealer you will never have a wear problem agine
hifax out of the mid 90's sleds fits on the rails but has a norrower profile thus letting more snow in. I out 2500 km's on mine and it is still good to go.

Graphite slides!
Get a set of graphite slides put on. I wore my stock ones out in 1000 miles. Put on graphite slides and they lasted until 6500 miles, with little wear. Now I have a ZX2 with graphite and no slider wear after 600 miles. Sweet. Graphite is the way to go. Also when you put on a new set. Ride the sled hard for 10-15 mins and then let the slides sit and cool for about an hour.

Thanks guys for all the help.
I will be putting on graphite as it sounds like it's the way to go. It's much easier to spend a few extra bucks now on better parts rather than have to do this again next year. I only put on about 1000 miles max per year and would like to think the hyfax should be good for at least a couple years.
I will also adjust the track back looser and might look into larger wheels for the front of the skid as was suggested earlier.
