hey guys, ive ordered some clutching components and now im looking to upgrade the sound on my 01 srx 700. I am looking for the can that has been proven to work for you and not against you?? I here that stock is best, but i would like more noise without hindering the performance.

you could gut your stock can to get some more noise out, gutted mine and it didnt seem to hurt the performance at all, now i didnt do side by side comparisons of stock can and gutted can but it still runs hard the way it is, a lot lighter, and sounds a lot better

Go with a Bender canister. They sound the best, and are about the only ones that don't lose hp.

don't go with a hauck....you will loose about 500 rpms on top....i was checkin clutchin, pv's compression and wondering what happend....put the stocker back on pulls to 8300 no problem...and you will be hearin your sled when your sleepin after a good trail ride...

the bender power pack silencer is the best. i had the hauck growlers as well and they kinda sucked. had problems with the pto cylinder fouling plugs. plus it made the sled sound like some pos zrt. the bender cans sound soooo cocky.

actually the power inc can made more power, they are just way hard to find for a srx. Spend the money on some other mods, be farther ahead. Maxdlx

power inc is the one
if i recall correctly it was the factory racing yamaha can
took me $280 to win one on ebay a coupel years ago. !!!
I guess I had to have it
sounds nice. not too loud at all, but a great gurgle

p.s I will sell my stock can for a good deal if you wanted to try and gut one, and have a stock spare if you didn't like it.

i never lost any rpms at all. guess some people have worse luck than others. and also i have the new style growlers not sure if that would make the difference.chevyracer68 said:don't go with a hauck....you will loose about 500 rpms on top....i was checkin clutchin, pv's compression and wondering what happend....put the stocker back on pulls to 8300 no problem...and you will be hearin your sled when your sleepin after a good trail ride...

Bender or dynoport but i prefer stock easy on the ears after a day of riding.
