I was just interested in how other riders go about pulling the carbs on the SX or SXR sleds. I have gotten into the practice of diassembling the entire airbox, prior to removing it. It seems that it is easier to remove the airbox, it isn't necessary to disconnect the throttle and oil pump cables to get the air box out and when reinstalling the carb boots to the air box, I can be sure that the boots are securely installed on the airbox. Any helpful hints would be appreciated.

I tried to remove the box without disassembly and it worked fine, however when I went to reinstall, I had a much harder time getting the carb boots on. I've decided that the airbox disassembly is the easiest route.
I usally dissasemble the airbox when putting it back on.
