heres my measurements
center shock 190 mm
rear shock 370 mm

I'm certainly not an expert in this but I may be able to help a little. I used the small [1mm?] spacers that came with the Viper suspension, set the front to 190mm and loosened off the preload on the rear until I acheived a 50/50 gap and it seems to work OK, although I just finished installing the long travel so I haven't had too much time to make any more adjustments. FRA is in the centre position, limiter straps are let way out. I just have the front brackets flipped with the stock SRX shocks. Here is the link to BETHEVIPER's excellent article:

hey chevyracer thanks for the SRX cover, got it on Friday like you said.I am still working to get my suspension set up to with the long travelled skid I installed.Playing around with limiter straps and transfer rods to achieve my goal.Make sure your track is sitting level on the floor to begin with.Mine used to sit up on the back end,now I have it sitting level to floor.

If you like to jump set the control rods to approximately a 60/40 control rod gap with you sitting on the sled in your gear, with the bigger gap to the top. I would run my center shock spring at zero preload plus 5 turns tighter (with the rear of the sled lifted) Then set the rear spring to get the correct control rod gap. Do you have the factory shocks and valving in the sled? Center FRA position should be about right if you like to beat her through the bumps a bit. If you really want it cushy you could set the fra to the soft side as well. Keep in mind that these are not the best skids for jumping either, the W-arms will crack with repeated beatings.

ya factory shocks and valving just shocks have been recharged this year.....so should i change out the 15mm bushing on the bottom to a 2 or 3 mm one???
Yup, I'm using the Bender adjustable control rods.chevyracer68 said:equaulizer you runnin adjustable rods???
I guess it depends on what your total gap is. I followed the Bender's instructions for Viper installation, and ended up with a total gap of 15mm [which is in the range of what BTV recommends]chevyracer68 said:ya factory shocks and valving just shocks have been recharged this year.....so should i change out the 15mm bushing on the bottom to a 2 or 3 mm one???
I also used the Viper upper control rods with the Bender adjustables on the bottom. The previous owner of my sled had cut down the stock upper rods so that's why I used the ones from the Viper, I'm not sure if they are the same length as the original stock 98's or not.

Question; Did you have to change the tie rods as well as the radius rods and shocks? I have an MSRX and would like to put the Viper front in but i wanted to know all what I'd need. Many thanks.

I just bought a '00 SRX and was wondering the same thing. Would a SRX benefit by swaping in a Viper front suspension?
Change out the bushings for the Viper ones . You will also need the Viper limiter straps as well.chevyracer68 said:ya factory shocks and valving just shocks have been recharged this year.....so should i change out the 15mm bushing on the bottom to a 2 or 3 mm one???
