I recently purchased a SxR and love it on the trail. But when busting across the lake, it throws alot of snow up. Are these OEM skis not good enough for the weight of the front?

they stock skis are kinda crapy. new style skis are better but u lose like a inch or so in clearance. newer style mountain skis are the best from what ive heard for OEM parts. after that id go with some C&As or some USIs. the sxr sits low anyway due to the dule rate springs. the single rate springs like off a vmax xtc make the sled sit much higher but u suffer in the stutter bumps. all depends on what u want on how u set it up. remeber u cant have the best of every thing. u always lose somthing when trying to gain somthing

I was thinking those skis weren't providing enough floatation. I guess I'll be on the hunt for some new skis. Thanks for the information, it is nice to hear other opinions!

My SXR does the same.Put new USI ski's on,but lost 1" height. Can crank the springs on the front shocks to get more height. The skid plate will also contribute to snow flying up over hood and windy.
My sx did it with the stock mountain skis on. I changed the toe and camber to 0 and it went away. Idid it using the bar method. Maxdlx
