Just a few pics of my Viper S with the newly installed Bender pipes.
Not crazy about the pipe rub but oh well .

Looking like one mean Viper! So, do you notice the gain in power?
What do you mean about pipe rub?

Yeeeaahh !
This thing is scary fast now , I still need to do some checks on piston wash at various throttle levels just to make sure its running tip top .
But at first impression wow what a difference !
The PTO pipe rubs on the hood insulation and left black foam all over the pipe . You can see in the pics ., the hood is shimmed per Bender . they supply a shim that goes under the hinge . but i think it could have been a little thicker .

I removed the foam and wrapped the underside of the hood with reflective tape. I also put a few small dents in the pto pipe so it wouldn't touch the hood. I don't think it affects performance mutch. If it does, oh well better to not melt the hood. I also made a shield from sheet metel to protect the belly pan on the right side and used 3m 2 sided tape to hold it. No rivits needed. I also re routed the wireing harness under the pto pipe, re routed the PV cables and wrapped them with reflective tape. No shiming of the hood and no problems.

Nice! I also did many of the things that justaviper did. I did the Bender recommended mod to the pipe with a 2X6 and a hammer. Doesn't look any worse than the foam melted to the pipe. I went by the scuff marks to decide where to put the dents. I moved and added some clamps to the belly pan wiring. I was very careful about melting my hood. Had a dealer mechanic chew me out over putting pipes on my Viper and ruining it. I don't want it to turn into one of them "told ya so" things. Also why I am jetted so fat.

I just noticed in the pic that the right side hood spring is still in the stock location on the bottom. If you move the bottom of the spring to the hinge bracket it won't bind up over the pipe when you close the hood.

I tried to put the hood spring on the hinge and it caused the cable to lay directly on the mag pipe pinched between the hood . Didnt like that much so i moved it back .

I have had my springs both ways also. Neither seems like a good way... the cables have already worn through the coating. My coating still needs to be engine heat baked. I think I will take my cables back out until the coating is baked.

All the after market triples need a little TLC to fit right. My SLPs were real close but I stll raised the front and back of my hood 1/4" to be sure and added a lot of heat tape. When you get the fit right, remove and repaint or Ceramic coat. The extra HP is worth all the effort.

Do these pipes require octane booster and high octane ?
That's sweet. Did you make or purchase your seat riser. I am 6'4", 290 lbs and I need a seat riser on my viper.
