Hey everyone just want to put this out there and get some opinions,i find that the stock belt that yamaha makes is a good belt and would propably last forever but i find that it is a hard belt and slips alot after a good day of running looks like the sides of the belt get real hot and turn shinny and that would cause the slipping and of course loss of horse power,if anyone has any other expieriences with other brand of belts and witch one performs the best please let me know.

i think everyone uses the stock belt because it is the best from what i've read easier, a couple guys use another stock yammy belt but it has a softer compound so it slips a little less, not sure of the part number on it though

I hate snowdust, good to be in front when you can.But you are the lead man and the first to nail that bump or rock,so sometimes it is better being back abit.

I will only use OEM belts from now on.My belts are doing fine with the HC setup I have, belt not slipping and running cool also.Have no black belt markings on the clutches, nice and clean looking.

didn't expect that from using heelclickers.BUT,if the belt is clamped real good, there is less chance of slipping, and the slipping is what will over heat your clutches. If a belt over heats, slowly it will start to break down I imagine.

progold, are your clutchs hot after riding for a while? are you running a lutch kit or all stock?

clutch slipping

mrviper700 my clutches i would say are warm not hot and as far as i know the clutches are all stock only had the sled a few months and did not get a chance to remove clutches and see what is going on in there but with the recent weather we have been getting above temperatures and rain i dont see any sledding in the near future so iwill have some time to clean and inspect the clutches will get back to you when i have that info thanks for everyones input.
