I have a brand new 1" Predator 6-pitch track on now.It has to be a bit better then the stock tracks the SRX's ran from factory. Now that I am running HC's,to take full advantage of more HP to the track,it is suggested to stud the track. What size studs would I go for and how many?Don't like the damage the studs did to my tunnel and exchanger fins from the old track. This would mean more rotating mass and ballooning at high rpm's.Still a little leary of using them. But would get a real good hole shot for sure.I would just go to a minimum amount of studs just to give a slight edge, wouldn't put on 196 studs.Wouldn't 96 studs be enough to at least help me a little...I hope.Convince me guys and means spending more $$$$$.

1" predator

I have a 1" pre punched predator on my srx7. I ran it last year with only 96 and it was a little too loose for me so I added 48 more this year. I now have 144, 1.075 woodys up the middle. they dont hit anywhere. It dosen't hook like the 192 did but it is acceptable, and much better than the 96.

I found Woody's 5/16" S.S. 60 degrees Signature Series at $1.19 each and
Alum. Discs at $0.45 each. That would cost me $266.86 plus shipping.

144 down the middle

I would go with 144 down the middle. I would keep them out of the outside edges, since that will cut the track life in half. Round alumin disks are the best, since the square ones are a pain in the *** to keep straight and even pressure when installing. Don't over tighten.
