After coming to a stop from a long run at mid-to-WOT my viper likles to idle high ~3000 rpm. However after about ~30 sec it drops to proper idle rpm. Since it drops after a while I'm fairly certain its not an air leak in my motor and my engine runs great all other times. Anybody have any ideas why its doing this? Thanks.

Fuel screws maybe? Mine did this too when I had them in too far, if I hit the choke to half it would instantly idle down.

Make sure your fuel screws are set to the correct spec and that your pilot jets are clean, not gunked up.
