i was wondering it its ok to run the power lead off the wire comming out of the key switch... when i got the sled it had the heated shield cord already there but i noticed its hooked to the yellow wire coming out of the ignition and all i seem to read is to hook it to the blue dimmer wire... i got a new helmet with a heated shield and would rather not find out thats wrong the bad way...

Hook the + wire to the blue wire going to the highbeam/lowbeam switch
hook the - wire to the ground lug on the round tube behind the secondary you will see a bolt with a ground wire from the harness there already.
