I'm going to repaint my Cobra w/s and rather than mask off the trim like I have in the past I thought I'd just peel it off,paint and then glue it back on to save the headache of taping and cutting the edges off.What would be a decent adhesive that would hold the trim without peeling or lifting?Contact cement?Carpenters glue?

3M weatherstrip adhesive works great. Just dab some in the cavity of the trim a few inches apart, install trim, remove trim and reinstall and shes a done deal. Check with your local auto parts warehouse.
I went to the local ACCO and bout some medium strength glue that bonded to all plastics up to 80lbs for 3.00. It did not peel at all.
I put mine on while the paint was still tacky and it hasnt come off yet.
