Ive been reasearching and have come to the conclusion that the heel clicker clutch kit sounds like the best. What exactly do i need to order for the entire kit, and where is the best place to get it. I dont know alot about clutching so any good help is appreciated. If it helps the sled has a modded silencer, shaved head, reed spacers, and when i bought it i was told it has a different helix machined on secondary. ![Winterrules :winterrul :winterrul](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/winterrules.gif)

If you don,t know anything about clutching or don,t have a friend that knows something.....i recommend you don,t tackle tuning these components. this is not something u just buy & bolt in. It requires testing & tuning to get the right rpm,s with out slipping or overgripping the belt. buy aaens clutching handbook & read it 50 or 60 times to get a grasp on what is going on with your clutches. If your srx is revving 84-8500 rpm at wot your doing just fine.

I am not clueless its just this isnt a cake walk for me. MY 99sx 600 was already clutched and dialed in perfect so i never had to tinker with it. I also had an indy 500 but never touched anything on that. Im a mechanic so i should be a able to pick it up pretty quick, just looking for a good solid direction to start towards i guess.

RACED GUY, HEEL CLICKERS ARE AWSOME NO DOUBT, AND LIKE MIKE SAID, THERE IS TUNEING LEVEL WITH THESE. FIRST THING RIGHT OFF THE BAT YOU HAVE TO BUY A GRAM SCALE. THAN MAKE SHURE YOU HAVE ALL STUFF FOR PULLING CLUTCH ON AND OFF ALOT ( puller, spring compressior, like i said gram scale etc) BUT EXPECT GREAT PERFORMANCE WHEN THEIR DIALED. I ASSUME THIS IS FOR A 01 SRX ? 3:16 (yammie tony)

I ordered a kit from Rich Motorsperts for my viper. I'm not sure about an SRX set up. Its not that hard to install but it will take some testing to get it where you want it. Check the tech section and just search the posts to get a baseline set up.
I see we have the same taste in trucks.

Turk will the same set up that you told raced guy for his srx 700 work on a srx 600? just wondering looking for a starting point thanks.
SRX 600 won,t pull the same clutching as a 700. A helix about a 46/40 will work with a 600 SRX. You also should get rid of the 16mm rollers & got to 15.6 or 15mm rollers.

That's what I got in the xtc 700

Turk - I've never changed from stock rollers - do they do anything other than lower the engagement?? - and if you do change them, do they effect any other area of your clutching? (still learning) LOL!!

different size clutch roller affect the whole shift. A smaller roller will lower engagement and also lower rpms. They make the weight act heavier/lighter in the way that it tucks the weight in the spider. With bigger rollers, your weights are going to be tucked tighter (more vertical) therefore will require more force to shift out. It's the opposite with smaller rollers.
