Any one have a current, real report on the Gwinn, Big Bay area. I will be leaving tonight? Help.

We had region-wide rain this past weekend. Houghton to Newberry. Half of the snow in my yard left. I went thru Marquette yesterday on the way home from my parents in Houghton, and the cross-roads (M-553 and CR 480 intersection) looked a little pathetic.

snowed 5-6" in negaunee today, but it is 32* right now and I hear sleds. Probably won't last long.

Man I hope you find snow up there. Was in Gwinn two years ago in March and it was awsome. Have photos from inside the bar there ( Packer's fans up there ! ) Good time's abound !!! Have fun !

I was on the trails around Negaunee today. We are about 25 miles North of Gwinn. The trails were OK outside of the towns. There was a couple spots that I think 4 wheelers had been on. But again, right in town. The snow we got was really wet and heavy. But it was warm again today. Continued to snow most of the day today but was pretty light and spotty. Lots of ice underneath, more than I expected.

Is it worth the trip. I will be coming out of the Chicago area. How much snow total? How were the trails you were on? Have you heard anything about the surrounding areas?

Dimebag Darrell RIP
From what I gather the western UP would be the place to head.
