I'm still waiting on parts to rebuild my viper, but I have a few ?'s about putting the engine back in when it's ready.
Clutch alignment - What's the best way to do this, is it necessary to buy special alignment tools? Or can it just be carefully measured, or can I even make my own? The sled is an ER so it has the electric starter gear on the primary if that makes any difference.
Oil Pump - how do I get this ready to go? How do you bleed it? I'll adjust the cable to spec of course...I've read that I should run the first tank of gas with pre-mix (btw, what ratio should I use? 50:1??) to make sure the pump is working.

another quick question, if the oil pump is working right, and I'm using premixed gas (so I'm getting a double shot of oil) how does this affect jetting and such? I would be running lean, right?

yes you'll need an alignment tool to do it right.RTYsxv said:Clutch alignment - What's the best way to do this, is it necessary to buy special alignment tools?

use 20mm for your pump.
