from the parts breakdown i see a fuel filter listed. I never see anyone talking of changing this? from what i understand its located in the pickup tube inside the gastank. my sled is a 2001 srx 700 triple and i dont see how it was ever changed. how do you go about changing this??????? thanks so much.
coat hanger fished thru the hole and pull it up and change it, not hard to do once you do em.

You can if you want, but these fuel filters are big, lots of filter media, takes
forever to plug to the point of restricting fuel flow.
to date have never needed to change one,these filters are almost as
big as on a car, and they go 40-50k..
