I just wanted to know what you guys think about this. My pto pipe is hitting the "frame"/"shock tower" thing and it's dented the pipe. I already had to grind down the head of the motor mount bolt on the mag side but I just wondered about this and if I should grind some off of the shock tower or whatever it's called? I'd have to grind about a 1/4" off or something and want to know if I should or not? Will it hurt anything if I grind it down? Is it normal for the engine to move this much? Or are my motor mounts wore out or something? Here's the pic:

Another option is to install a torque arm so your motor doesn't twist so much. However, grinding a bit of meat out of that shock tower won't hurt anything.

Hey thanks. Can you buy a torque arm from somewhere or is it something I'd have to make? I know I've seen them for Vipers (I think anyway), would one of those work?

There should be a piece that goes under that pipe to prevent that. It bolted right to the shock bolt. Maxdlx

I just put benders on mine and on the other side it cama with a piece to bolt on the shock mount for ts problem....maybe you could get one for this side also....They are benders those right...?

I didn't get that piece. I got a piece for the other side but that was it. I think I've seen the piece you're talking about though in other peoples pictures of their pipes. These things rub each other all over too and I keep putting pieces of header wrap in between them where they rub but that rubs through in no time flat. Should I just dent them with a plastic hammer where they rub together? Or is there a better option?

Yes they are Benders. But these don't say Bender on them like the ones in this picture do, must be they decided to start saving some money when making them by the time I bought mine? I ordered them directly from Bender earlier this year.

Hey valin (or anyone else that knows), can I buy a torque limiter for this or would I have to make it? If I'd have to make it I'm just gonna get the grinder out instead. :whine:

I did get only one of those shock tower protectors just like you..but mine dont rub on that side...I'm interested on one of those torque limiters also...let me know where you can get one and how tuff will it be....I just took mi sled for the first tiume today and it runs pretty good.....By the way mine don't say bender on them either....Nick

Mountain Performance shows them on their site for $49.95. That is if they still have them or carry them still. Their site isn't up to date because when I was looking to buy remote adjusters I called them to order theirs and they acted like they hadn't had them for eons, but they're still on their site even now. I just remembered though I found this anyway so I guess I'm gonna try to order it from them.
