Picked up a 1998 SRX this morning. Runs great, a little faster than my piped V-max. Great shape with only 3214 miles, and a new track with 300 miles on it. Gonna call to see if crank was updated tommorrow. Guy wanted $2200 for it, we settled for $1700 cash. Here's a few pics.

Nice grab man!!!!! I love my 99, it's so funny seeing people do a double take on the trail when they see the ol' infamous SRX comin through.

I beat up on a SaberCat7, Zr8, and SkiDoo 800 the other night. my first drags of the year after my rebuild, gave her 300 miles and said " Let's do this!!!!!!!!!!!"

You scored very nice with that.

Since you saved $500 off the price, Let the MODS begin!! You going to sell the poo now?

Sold the XLT on Friday, and one of my dirtbikes on Sat., saw this on snowsnakes about 2 weeks ago, he still had it so I bought it. The kicker is, I got it with a full tank, and also a new set of carbides still in the package! I figured for that price, I could'nt go wrong. (knocking on wood)

Congrats on a steal. Cant believe people are getting these sleds go so cheap.

You aint gettin mine for that price.. LOL

Well, my Vmax is studded, SRX is not, trail is hard pack, was probably spinning a bit more than the Vmax. Remember, the Vmax isn't stock either...

where do you call to find out if the crank was updated. I also bought a 98 srx two weeks ago.

i was short of money this year. i had to let my 2001 mm700 with 2500 miles go for $2100. that was one of the sadess days of my life. the deals are out there this year. its defiantly a buyers market.

Take the VIN number to your dealer and they should be able to run it and see if it's been updated..

Called Yamaha direct to see if update was done on the crank... GOOD NEWS, update and new crank seals in Dec of 2000 at a dealer about 45 mins from where I live. That's a relief for me...
